Rotary Club of Suva-East hosts a Social Hour on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month. We meet poolside at Holiday Inn Suva from 6:30 PM. Our next social hour will be Thursday 1 September.

Please join us on the 1st: we’re featuring a sneak peek of Talanoa Treks plus a meet and greet with its cofounder Marita Manley. Marita will be our RCSE speaker on Monday 12 September. After the Suva Marathon time trial Thursday evening she will be joining us briefly at the Holiday Inn.

Marita is the co-founder and director of Talanoa Treks, a small hiking business that works in partnership with four rural communities on Viti Levu. She moved to Fiji in 2006 and worked on food security and climate change adaptation programmes in the region for SPC and the German Government prior to joining her husband full time in their business earlier this year. Prior to moving to Fiji, Marita worked for the UK Government.
