US Embassy speaker: Dmitri Tarakhovsky at RCSE Monday 28 November

On Monday 28 November please join the Rotary Club of Suva East in welcoming Dmitri Tarakhovsky, Regional Public Diplomacy Officer of the US Embassy in Fiji, to our regular 4th Monday meeting.

Dmitri Tarakhovsky started his assignment as a Regional Public Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Fiji on September 3, 2015 in the rank of the First Secretary. He is in charge of all media, educational and cultural affairs involving and conducted by the Embassy in Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, and Tuvalu.

Mr. Tarakhovsky entered the Foreign Service in 2004. He served as Vice Consul in Jamaica, Deputy Public Affairs Office in Azerbaijan, Public Diplomacy Desk Officer for Nordic and Baltic states in Washington, DC, and, most recently, as Cultural Attaché in Hungary.

Mr. Tarakhovsky’s background is in music, arts, education and real estate. He received his degrees of Master in Music (piano) and Master of Arts from Wayne State University. He is married to Afet Ibrahimova with whom he has two daughters- Sofia and Silvia.

RCSE will be meeting at the Fiji Club at 12:30 for a 1PM start on Monday, 28 November. RSVPs appreciated.

Rotary Club of Suva-East holds its regular lunch meetings in the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at the Fiji Club, 1 Selbourne Street, Suva. We host a social hour at 6:30 PM on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at the Holiday Inn Suva.
