• Speaker – John Connor – Executive Director of COP 23 Presidency Secretariat

John Connor is Executive Director of COP23 Presidency Secretariat. He has spent over twenty five years working on public policy with a focus on climate, environment and development issues. Mr. Connor was CEO for The Climate Institute (Australia) for the last decade, overseeing its focus on national policy, institutional investor and international climate diplomacy work streams.

Mr. Connor has worked on numerous government and business advisory panels currently including the NSW Government’s Climate Council. He is a qualified lawyer and graduate of the Australian Institute of Corporate Directors. He has been a Board member of a number of NGOs and is a “Governator” with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition.
