President Michelle presents a cheque to Salote from Homes of Hope

At this week’s meeting, Michelle Chand’s inaugural meeting as President of RC Suva East, the club made a donation of $1,500 to the Homes of Hope shelter and training centre for abused women.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of Homes of Hope, financial officer Salote Niumataiwalu said that this donation would support career training for women in their third and final year at HoH.

The women study everything from childcare and keeping livestock to handicraft making and sewing skills. RCSE is proud to be able to contribute toward their inspiring and life-changing work.
